The Perfect Spot

Each year we look for accommodations for our visit to Chautauqua Institution. We have finally found the perfect spot!! Barcelona Lakeside Bed and Breakfast is located a short 15 minute drive from the Institution AND sits directly on Lake Erie. The house is beautiful, the breakfast beyond expectation and the morning walk along the lake a real plus. I would strongly recommend this B&B at any time of the year.

Anniversary Celebration

Thank you Leslie and Roger for making us feel so special and making our 1st anniversary such a memorable one! We enjoyed your beautiful inn, our room was just breathtaking and the breakfasts were the best we've had in a while!! I can still taste the baked-pecan french toast and those gorgeous maple-breakfast sausages and biscuits! We loved your engaging conversations and getting to know both of you Thank you!! We hope to be back again soon.

Lovely Lakeside Escape

"Staying three nights at the Barcelona Lakeside Bed & Breakfast was exactly what we needed – an escape! Our room overlooking Lake Erie was absolutely wonderful. We were in awe of Lesley’s and Rodger’s decorating skills as everything was thoughtfully selected, beautiful and 'lakeside airy and simple.' We relished waking up in the morning in our comfortable king-size bed to listen to our favorite soft music on the Sirius XM radio while watching life slowly begin in the small harbor. The ensuite bath was a special treat with its’ large and beautifully tiled walk-in shower, fluffy towels and natural bath amenities. Breakfasts on the patio were superb. Rodger and Lesley accommodated our gluten/dairy free diet restrictions in the most delicious ways. Their food knowledge and recipes are exceptional. They were friendly and hospitable hosts, giving us an instantaneous feeling that we had known them for years. Sitting on the comfortable veranda with a beverage in the late afternoon and early evening to watch harbor life settle down and the sun set over the lake was a most relaxing end to the day. Negatives? Not a one!

As an Event Planner we chose Lakeside Bed & Breakfast to host our wedding in 2001. The Barcelona Lighthouse, peaceful harbor, and beautiful landscaping were the perfect backdrop for our event. We've returned many times throughout the years and now bring our two sons along for the fun. We love to walk to the beach or down to a lakeside restaurant for a quick meal. A short drive to Chautauqua provides family activities like putt putt, a great playground, and a fun '60's diner where the waitress wears roller-skates. But our very favorite thing is to relax on the large porch with a glass of wine to enjoy the sunset. Rodger and Lesley are wonderful hosts and we look forward to returning year after year.

First-time B&B Stay

When my wife mentioned the idea of staying at a Bed & Breakfast I was a little skeptical.... Boy am I glad that we did it! Barcelona was incredible! Roger and Lesley made us feel like honored guests and old friends all at the same time. Their warm and welcoming hospitality was unlike anywhere else that I've ever experienced. The property was beautiful, immaculately clean and stress free. The food was incredible and everything was top quality homemade and organic. The blueberry french toast with chicken sausage is one of the best breakfast meals that I've ever eaten in my life! The views of the lake are impressive and the vineyard out back was a really awesome local touch! We will definitely be back! I'm already recommending Barcelona to all of my colleagues!

Absolutely FABULOUS!

Absolutely FABULOUS! The beds are the most comfortable ever...snacks were homemade fresh out of the oven. Lesley and Roger's breakfasts were delicious, and the juices were so good. I can't say enough good things about Barcelona Lakeside Bed and Breakfast. It's immaculate. No funky smells and pristine. I highly recommend the day at the beach package. Can't wait to go back. Thank you for a great time!

What a wonderful bed & breakfast!! We came for an anniversary get-a-way and the owners are fantastic!! They have lots great ideas for local places to visit and absolutely wonderful breakfasts. We'll be back!
