Located in the heart of the Rogue Valley, this gold rush town is one of the few whole towns listed in the National Historic Register. Jacksonville wa established because of a growing gold mining industry. It has remained valuable for the state of Oregon but this time in the field of arts and agriculture. Jacksonville is where the annual Britt Festival is held. The music festival attracts skilled musicians within and outside the state as well as music lovers who fill up the Jacksonville bed and breakfast inns during this time.
