Second to None Hospitality

This is the second stay in three years. We were reminded why we should not wait so long to return. The hospitality is second to none. We were welcomed and felt comfortable the moment we stepped back in. Fort Mountain State Park was A BLAST also. Thanks for the Rose Petals, the Champagne, the S'mores - All of it. We will be returning soon.

Fell In Love with the Inn

Looking for a quiet getaway for our 29th Anniversary. What we found was more than we could hope. We fell in love with our stay, and what made it special was how Lynn took care of us. She has the gift of hospitality. The Overlook Inn has an amazing view of the mountain valley, and when you're not looking out the window the home feel is so relaxing. Thank you for making our stay something that we will never forget.

Our second visit

Our second visit to the Overlook Inn. This visit, we celebrated our First Anniversary. Last we celebrated our wedding! So wonderful to be back, this place holds a special place for us. Lynn has been a wonderful Innkeeper. We always are well taken care of. So blessed to call her a friend. I pray these walls see many treasured memories. So happy they have seen and shared ours.

Outstanding Food, TLC

Thanks so much for the TLC! Food was outstanding. We came North for a last minute escape from Hurricane Michael and lack of electricity. Had a great stay.

Loved It

Our second stay in this Suite - fourth stay at the Overlook with another stay booked in 2019. We love the hospitality and enjoy getting away from it all for our weekends in Georgia - was able to show our son today, who's at Fort Benning, why we enjoy it so much and I think he's caught the Overlook "fever". Until January 2019...

Beautiful

This was our first stay here and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was very romantic and beautifully decorated. We felt like we were visiting old friends and felt relaxed and at home. We loved the hot tub - it felt like we were sitting in the middle of an enchanted forest! The ambiance was spot on and we will definitely be back! Thanks for the delicious food and happy-delightful atmosphere. You sure thought of everything.

Best Stay We've Had

More than pleased

We found this place last minute online while looking for a short one day getaway from the city (Atlanta area). The pics of the scenery and the rooms looked very quaint. We were more than pleased upon arrival. Lynn greeted us with a big smile (and the doggies were adorable too!) We can't wait to return and start a tradition of visiting this little piece of heaven on earth.

Little Slice of Heaven

Words can not describe how amazing this place is! It is certainly something everyone should experience. Lynn and her staff were extremely inviting and accommodating. We did a weekend trip to celebrate my birthday and our 5 year anniversary. Our 3 day weekend getaway was beyond relaxing and way too short! The sheets were like sleeping on a cloud which made it difficult to wake up for breakfast. I am absolutely NOT a morning person but I am glad I drug myself out of bed because my god was the food worth it. All the food was; we did the date night package and let me tell you, they say its smoked trout but I swear its smoked salmon! If you're there on the weekend, DO take advantage of wine and cheese hour! I'm not going to give away all their secrets because you should discover this little slice of heaven on earth for yourself. We can't wait to visit again!

Beautiful place for birthday

What a beautiful place to spend my birthday! Cozy and charming! We loved sitting on the porch under the soft lights enjoying the cool mountain air. We had the pleasure of strolling under a full moon at night and sipping delightful wine during the day. Big beautiful butterflies and hummingbirds made excellent companions! Thanks to everyone for making our stay wonderful! PS - Thanks Mackenzie for the sweet smile you brought with our amazing dishes!

Amazing Hosts

Lynn and MacKenzie, you are amazing :>} Great service. Blueberry French Toast, sausage, coffee, (lavender roasted) peaches......everything we ate was wonderful! The view from your sitting area is just BEAUTIFUL! 5 stars on everything.
