Description

Circa 1881. This Victorian inn was home to the first governor of Arkansas after the Civil War. Two long verandas overlook a breathtaking valley and two mountain ranges. The home is graced by a beautiful tower, spindlework and coffered ceilings. A huge arch joins the dining and living rooms, which, like the rest of the inn, are filled with antiques. All of the guest rooms feature Jacuzzi tubs, and two have a fireplace. The inn is situated on the quiet, residential street at the beginning of the historic loop. A five-minute walk into town takes guests past limestone cliffs, tall maple trees, gardens and refreshing springs. Try a ride on a horse carriage or on the steam engine train that departs nearby.
