Description

Circa 1910. This handsome gabled estate is comprised of unique cast concrete blocks and offers three stories with a wide porch, stained and mullioned windows, and inside, a grand staircase. Elegantly furnished guest accommodations feature antiques. The mansion is popular for tours because of its history and beauty. Candlelight dining, first-class service and many other amenities are making 221 Melsted a popular romantic destination for couples. There's a Victorian spa, and the innkeepers can arrange other activities including a private limousine tour of the countryside, berry picking expedition or an evening playing torch light croquet. The area has Icelandic heritage, and each August, the Deuce Icelandic Festival is held.
