A Stone Wall Inn is an architecturally stunning and award-winning inn surrounded by the Vermont wilderness. Reminiscent of tree houses for adults, the buildings have creative and unique nooks and rooms both inside and out. There are no telephones or televisions in the guest rooms and cell phone service is minimal giving guests the opportunity to truly escape from the real world. Eco-friendly buildings use no fossil fuels for heat. Enjoy the views from the common and private decks of the Long House or let rays of sunshine awaken you in the Cloud Room. Sit near the picture window in the Pondview Rooms to view one of the three ponds. Reserve the separate Corner House with four guest rooms as a vacation rental for a group. Bring your pets with you and let them frolic on the lawns and woodland paths or just sit by the fountain powered by solar energy or relax in the pool or hot tub.

What's Green About Your Inn

We are a green certified inn by the State of Vermont, and have many eco-friendly attributes. All heating of the inn is done by solar and woodstoves, and all linens are of natural fabrics. Solar energy is used to power the fountain and heat the pool. LED and CFL bulbs are used throughout the inn, as well as energy star appliances. Wood surfaces are stained with a "urethane" made from whey, a byproduct of the states dairy industry, as well as the using environmentally friendly soaps and cleaning products.

The gardens cover 12 acres and over 3 ponds, designed so different botanicals are in bloom throughout the seasons.
