So much to praise about this exquisite little place!

March 21, 2012. The Andalusian Court hotel, Palm Springs, Queen Villa (villa #2) There is so much to praise about this exquisite little place: I was hoping for a place to stay that felt private and quiet. Check. I was hoping for a staff that clearly enjoys having guests. Check. I was hoping for beauty: at the Andalusian Court, plants like wisteria, creeping fig, cape honeysuckle line walkways and trail over pergolas; subtle and warm stucco colors blend with stone and brick, and there's a nice pool area for swimming and hanging out. Check. But what I didn't realize ahead of time is the personal quality of a small hotel. I think when we visit other cities, I will be looking for small hotels like this. About our room, the Queen Villa: Subtle color combos once again and well-designed lighting. A surprising gecko mosaic on the floor of the beautiful stone bathroom. A full kitchen that even a dedicated cook like me could feel happy about. The linens were gorgeous, including the silky sheets. (I'm guessing Egyptian cotton.) Wonderful over-the-top metal roses decorated the metal four poster bed. On the second day, housekeeping did a good job of re-doing the linens and straightening the room while we were out. But the piece de resistance had to be the outdoor jacuzzi on the private patio....a relaxing soak under the stars and wisteria blossoms.... We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Andalusian Court and we look forward to coming back and also recommending it to friends.
