great escape

We stayed at Aunt May's July 28-29 2012 and thought it was fantastic. Although a little out of the way about an extra 15 minutes from Hermann maybe a little less if you know where your going to get to the house. We were able to check in prior to the designated time on the website which was great. When we walked in, we knew we had picked the perfect place for ourselves and our friends to stay. There were four of us total in the house but it sleeps 6 even more if you bring a blow up bed, which we didn't but it is in the back of our mind in the future. There was a full kitchen with supplies and the fridge was stocked with excellent breakfast items. There are two bedrooms both of which the closet has been converted to a wash area with a sink, shelves, and a mirror, there is a full bath next to the two bedrooms and another half bath in the dining area. The dining room seats six and is beautiful with lots of brand new windows to let light in. One of the best items in the house for us was the screened in porch which led to the outside fire pit area. The screened in porch had a fan and large picnic table and there are plenty of fold up chairs to take a few steps down to the fire pit. Everything was beautiful and so peaceful! The one con was that the tv is digital and the remote to the surround sound didn't work but who goes on vacation to watch tv, and a little extra exercise to turn a knob is no big deal. A big thanks to Ralph for answering our questions and being so close (about a mile away) if we needed anything! We will be staying here again, no questions asked!
