Description

Circa 1731. Traditional lodging and hearthside cooking is part of the historic yet romantic ambiance of this restored 18th-century central-chimney Colonial and attached Connecticut cottage, listed in the National Register. It boasts two beehive ovens, eight fireplaces, original wide-floor boards, moldings, gunstock beams, mantels and stair rails. Relax by the fireside in the keeping room, parlor or in an Adirondack chair on the patio. Spacious guest bedrooms are furnished with antiques and reproductions. Besides a daily breakfast in the dining room, light snacks and beverages are available. Ask about getaway specials. Popular Old Sturbridge Village is 15 miles away.
