Description
Circa 1809. This saltbox with a Greek Revival addition was built during Spanish colonial times. Antiques dating from 1840-1860 include a Mississippi plantation bed with full canopy and a massive rosewood armoire crafted by the famous New Orleans cabinetmaker, Mallard. One room has a Spanish-moss mattress, traditional Louisiana bedding material used for more than 200 years. Six nearby plantations are open for tours.
