American Historic Inns, Inc. and iLoveInns.com, the leading publisher of bed & breakfast and country inns information, today announced the release of InnTouch for iPhone and iPod touch users. The new application gives users access to iLoveInns’ carefully selected inn listings for more than 3,500 inns and small hotels in the United States and Canada.
The new application is available at the iPhone App Store for free to travelers looking for unique lodging experiences such as that found at bed and breakfasts and country inns.
Powered by iLoveInns.com, one of the nation’s leading providers of B&B and boutique hotel information, InnTouch gives access to America's top award-winning inns on the iPhone or iPod touch.
Top features of the mobile guide include descriptions and detailed information on B&Bs and boutique inns in nearly 2,000 cities, 10,000 photos, the ability to locate inns near your current location, and push-to-call capabilities and functionality that allows users to make reservations. Travelers can search for lodgings using GPS, current address and city. An additional feature highlights more than 1,200 recipes of favorite dishes served at B&Bs and country inns nationwide. InnTouch for iPhone gives travelers accurate information updated 24/7 by inn owners and the iLoveInns.com staff, as well as up to 10 photos per inn. Chris Monahan, chief technology officer at iLoveInns.com, was the lead designer of the application. “You can search for inns by city or see what's around you using the Nearby feature. This pulls your GPS coordinates and shows you nearby inns within 60 miles. With the phone being an all-in-one device, a person can call the inn for reservations with one touch; not dialing each digit of the phone number. They can see the inn's address on a map, get directions, save the address in their contact list, as well as e-mail or visit the inn's Web site with single-click actions. We have a huge list of features that we plan to implement, including adding international inns,” he added.
InnTouch will become a vital necessity for frequent business travelers and inn enthusiasts who realize they can have both delightful adventures and great comfort while traveling. It makes it easy to find the inn or bed and breakfast that meets their needs and exceeds their expectations.
