Exceeded high expectations
Beautiful grounds, historic property with new carriage house, ancient trees lining the drive as in europe, charming innkeepers, excellent food. Peaceful serene and quiet. Elegant but not stuffy. Fellow guests were interesting and friendly. Nice smalltown around the corner with coffeehouses shopping and restaurants. Would like to experience in fall and in winter - enjoyed the beautifully landscaped grounds and gardens in August of 2010.

InnSide Tip - Bellaire options
Torch Lake is very beautiful and within a 20 minute drive. The surrounding countryside is hilly and forested and quite pretty. Lake Michigan is just the other side of Torch Lake. Enjoyed an outdoor lunch at the Blue Pelican Inn in Central Lake.

Charmed to our extremities
Having a couple of experiences in a bed and breakfasts; I will give the Bellair bed & Breakfast a 5 heart mark. I will forever measure all others by this one. Private, quiet, clean, beautiful rooms. Delicious breakfast and charming host. We shall return! Our "Savannah Room" was ASAP (as southern as possible) in a northern Michigan setting. Romantic to the bone!!
