Circa 1895. This three-story peaked turret Queen Anne inn is located next to Green Mountain College. Stained glass, polished woodwork and original fireplace mantels add to the Victorian atmosphere, and the guest rooms are furnished with antiques of the period. A sitting room adjacent to the guest rooms has its own fireplace.

Visiting our daughter

We usually visit Poultney twice a year & always stay at the Bentley House. I do not do stairs well so we usually stay in a room downstairs, but if we have to stay in an upstairs room for a couple of nights we do it anyway - I do not want to stay anywhere (else). The breakfasts are wonderful & Pam & Rich are just delightful. They spoil my husband & I when we are there. We HIGHLY recommend The Bentley House!!
