Bisbee is a city located in Arizona's Cochise County. The city was established first as a mining town. Although much of its mining activities have ceased, the city remains an important destination for its historical relevance and for its natural wonders. The Old Bisbee Ghost Tours provide visitors and tourists with a trip not just to the city's older sites but also spine tingling stories about them. The Coronado Cave, with its other name of Montezuma's Treasure Vault is certainly another attraction that visitors must see. The Copper Queen Mine is just a couple of miles away from the center of Bisbee. Bird-watching is very enjoyable when done at the Southeastern Arizona Bird Observatory. This is only three miles away from the city's main district. Those who would like to learn more about city's past as a mining boomtown, can visit the Bisbee Mining and Historical Museum. When you are approaching Bisbee Arizona from the west, you drive through a tunnel in the mountain. Once you have exited the tunnel you will have left the world you are used to. Lush hillsides filled with pines and oaks, so unlike the nearby arid desert landscaping so typical of southern Arizona. You will see colorful artistic homes in purples, pinks, yellows and blues. The downtown shops, stores and restaurants are straight out of a European storybook. By School House Inn.
