Beautiful Scenery

This was an awesome place for a Honeymoon. David and Nancy were wonderful hosts. They made you feel right at home. We stayed in both the Garden Cottage and Burt Cottage. They are a wonderful combination of rustic and modern. The garden was beautiful and the porches were comfortable. We enjoyed the great breakfasts and the company.

Excellent stay

We just returned from an overnight getaway at Bowman's Oak Hill Bed & Breakfast in Wisconsin Dells. We didn't do anything but read, rest and eat. And the breakfast was outstanding. We'd do it again in a heartbeat! Thanks!

Immaculate and Welcoming

When I saw the website, I knew this was the place we wanted to stay, and we were not disappointed. The b&b was immaculate, and Nancy & David were so welcoming. The breakfasts were incredible. One morning we had freshly picked raspberries. Our accommodations were in the home part of the B&B, and our room had adequate space for luggage. The common areas were very nice. We wished the weather would have been nicer so that we could have enjoyed the outside deck. The b&b is away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown & waterpark area, but we were close to everything in the Dells.

Peaceful and Pleasant

This was a very pleasant place to stay. David and Nancy were friendly hosts and their knowledge of the Dells and surrounding area was also very helpful. My husband and I stayed in "Aunt Geri's" cottage. It was peaceful, clean and had a "wonderfully comfy" big bed. No backaches there! We stayed for two nights and had two delicious breakfasts. It was a very enjoyable stay!

Romantic

My husband and I spent a glorious weekend at this fabulous bed and breakfast. We stayed in cottage in the woods and there were flowers growing along side of the walkway. You could hear the birds chirping. The breakfast was amazing with rasberries picked right from the garden. Nancy and her husband are wonderful hosts; we felt like we had known them for years.

Warm & Welcoming

From the time we arrived to the time we departed the Inn, we felt welcomed. Nancy greeted us with open arms upon our arrival. We felt not like guests of a hotel but as relatives who had not visited in a while. We settled in and were given a tour. The atmosphere was as if you are in your own home. The home is immaculate. The breakfast was substantial and we were not hungry until later in the afternoon. Everything was fresh and the scent of breakfast cooking in the morning was glorious. Our room was filled with angels and the Innkeepers must be angels too!

Elmer's Oak View Room

We recently stayed at Bowman's in Elmer's Oak View Room. Nancy and David are great hosts. Everything was spotless; breakfast was delicious. There was also a CD in the CD player with soothing music (nice touch). It was everything we needed. Doug and Mary

Our 40th Anniversary @ Oak Hill

We stayed at Bowman's for our 40th Anniversary celebration early in July, and what an experience it was!! The majestic grounds take your breath away when you first enter the property. It is outside of town on Highway #13. The main home has been in the family for generations, and the adjacent cabins, and associated cabins were "hand built" by the owners. Every detail has "The Personal Touch", the birdhouses, gardens too many to list. The front and "rear" entrance are very warm and inviting, we entered through the "rear" after parking, and were greeted on the deck, and at the door by our cordial hosts. We were amazed at the warm family porch, dinning area, kitchen, living room and the selection of rooms. I had selected, before viewing "Gracie's Room", as it had a private bath, outstanding shower, and "Hot Tub Jacuzzi"!! In our room we were greeted by cooling breezes from the individual very quiet A/C unit, home-made cookies, bottle water, speciality made "Rose Petal Soaps", robes, everything you could imagine & more. We were running a little late for our dinner reservation at Dell-Bar downtown at the Dells, so we were in/out in a flash after refreshing, not really much of a chance to take advantage of our hosts. We came back to the room my wife & I enjoyed the "Hot-Tub" & relaxed to the soothing music, great idea NO TV!! Sunday morning I woke up at 5:15AM, sleeping in for me, cleaned up, including shower, have to check this out mutiple shower heads, and lot's of nice soft HOT water. I let my wife sleep in, and to the kitchen about 5:35AM to find our host, cooking multiple pots of coffee/tea with the entire dining area set up for all the (10) guests staying at the Inn during our weekend. I enjoyed the wonderful conversation, and took a cup of outstanding coffee for a walk in the garden-area like grounds. Amazing in the front there is a small bench, where I relaxed and looked in the Sun that has recently started a brand new day in WI. It sure looked like the Sun was surrounded by one tree, looked at lot like "The Tree of Life". I returned to the kitchen for more coffee and conversation, and Nancy our primary host had joined our group. The conversation generated what a wonderful family they had, and how they came to be @ The Dells. The breakfast, was TOO GOOD To be True, we left full for sure. Everything fresh, home-made, sitting in the Dining room with the adjacent immacuate Kitchen sharing it's aromas with the sounds of birds outside. We only stayed one night, and we were both sorry we did not stay at least three or more!! Great B&B, Great Hosts, Lot's to do in the Dells, we will be back, please give this outstanding B&B a chance you will not regret it. The entire experience was PERFECT, = 5 Stars, with a "Bullet on the Chart". The Sullivan's Bonnie/Bob from Wisconsin.

Something Very Special

We've been to several B & B's over the past 27 years of marriage. This one stands out in service, condition, cleanliness and room comfort. It felt like family sitting at breakfast with the owners, Nancy and David. You know it's special when you can't stop thinking about the wonderful time you had. We can't wait to go back!

Great hosts! Comfortable home

The hosts make this place excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Willing to do about anything to make your stay comfortable. The home is very comfortable. Our stay felt more like visiting close family (ones we like) than staying at an inn. Our room, though a little smaller than some inns was very nice - loved the jacuzzi and the bed was very comfortable. The location is perfect - just far enough from the carnival of the Dells to feel like the country, but close enough to get to anything quickly. This is one of those inns that has a scheduled breakfast so that everyone staying gets to meet each other and chat while you eat the excellent food - one of our favorite things about some B&B's.

Beautiful and secluded B&B!

My wife and I stayed here in June 2009. We thought we would stop by there to check it out before we booked a reservation. Well, we looked at one of the rooms and the cottages and they were beautiful. After speaking w/ Nancy and seeing the property, we stayed there for 3 nights. We were not disappointed. The cottage was wonderfully prepared and included a kitchenette complete w/ fridge, stove, sink, microwave, dishes, and many other small appliances. Throughout the cottage there were thoughtful things...extra blankets/pillows, books/magazines, robes, etc. We loved the outside though...the organic garden they get fruits/veggies from for breakfast...the beautiful trees... It seemed like a remote little country paradise, far away from the hustle and bustle of the Dells, but in reality it's only about five minutes from the downtown area. The food was exquisite as well, everything from smoothies to fabulous pancakes w/ Nancy's trademark lemon sauce (yum!!!) to fresh strawberries from their garden. David and Nancy were wonderful guests whom we enjoyed talking with and getting to know. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this B&B to anyone!!! We will definitely be back.

A pleasure to stay at this B&B!

What a wonderful place to stay! We stayed in one of the Bowman's cottages and it was fabulous. We have been to many B&Bs and this was one of our favorites. Clean, charming, cozy, this was the ultimate in a romantic get away. This is hands down the best place to stay in the Dells.

Wonderful Experience!

We loved our stay and enjoyed the private cabin experience. This is a wonderful, quiet retreat from the busy tourist attraction area. We enjoyed the attractions but then were able to relax at this wonderful B&B.
