Description
Circa 1759. Early German Mennonite settlers built this sandstone farmhouse in the mid-eighteenth century. It graces seven scenic acres amidst Amish countryside. You'll feel relaxed and pampered as you sink into the comfort of historic home. Guest bedrooms and a suite boast random-width plank floors, locally handcrafted period-authentic furniture, sleigh or pencil post beds and antique Shaker peg boards. Enjoy a hearty country breakfast in the homestead's original smokehouse with brick floor, ceiling beams and an open hearth fireplace. Start the day with fresh juices, homemade pastries and jams, a hot entree and fruits grown on-site. Stroll by the flower and water gardens, or walk the nearby nature trails. An abundance of outlet and antique malls as well as historical and cultural sites are minutes away.

Describe Garden and Grounds |
We have a water garden and beautiful flower gardens throughout the property. A 5-acre corn field lines the back portion of the property, to which we barter with our neighbor who farms it in corn for his hogs, in exchange for a butchered hog each year, providing our own fresh pork products for our breakfasts! |
