Description
Circa 1887. Built from hand-hewn logs, this historic lodge has served as an accommodation for such notable guests as Thomas Edison, Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone. These and other guests have been drawn to the excellent fishing and outdoor activities available in the surrounding Monongahela National Forest. A trout stream runs past the inn. Guest rooms are decorated with antiques and maple furnishings; most have shared baths. The rates include all three meals. A dinner menu might include cornish game hen with an apricot glaze, roasted garlic potatoes, salad, homemade bread and dessert.
