First B & B stay

Lovely atmosphere in a country setting with inn keepers who had time for us. It was a very comfortable place to spend the night, the flannel sheets were the perfect touch. Breakfast was great, we loved the sausage gravy!

Happy B&B guest

Thank you Larry and Paula for a wonderful, relaxing 3 day stay at your home. I felt like we were with family, even though we had never met. It was just what we want in a B&B, clean, comfortable, good food, and best of all gracious host. Only one suggestion, king size beds. Look us up if you ever travel our way.

Spencer Reunion

Spencer Reunion Thank you to Paula and Larry for sharing their beautiful Chestnut Ridge Country Inn. The Inn was very pleasant and comfortable to stay at and my family had a great time. Larry and Paula took special care for my 91 year old mother by not only making sure the accommodations were access friendly for her age but also spent one on one time with her in conversations - this was greatly appreciated by all. The breakfast we had during our stay were delicious - especially the peach cobbler/french toast! Paula you are a great cook. My only recommendation would be to leave exta milk/cream in the refrigerator we have access to as we ran out of it in the evening and it was frustrating not to be able to go into the main kitchen for a refill. Hope to see you in a couple years as our reunion is held every other year in your area. Karen Miller

Relaxing, Rejuvenating Getaway

Loved our stay at Chestnut Ridge Country Inn. Have stayed in a few outstanding B & B's but none can compare in terms of the friendly, welcoming, gracious character of our hosts, Larry and Paula.

Quiet Country B&B

The hosts were very nice and made us feel very comfortable at their B&B. They were more than willing to do anything they could to make our stay enjoyable. We especially enjoyed sitting around the outdoor fire at dusk. We would definitely stay there again.

Very relaxing

I stayed here for a weekend with 2 of my girlfriends from college as a part of our "girls' weekend". Larry and Paula were VERY accommodating, the breakfasts were delicious (and filling), and the landscape is beautiful. If you enjoy the outdoors, I would highly recommend the Chestnut Ridge Country Inn.

Wild and wonderful.

Breakfast was great. Room was cozy. Location worked well for our planned activities--Cass Railroad and Radio Observatory. Had fun having dinner at Snowshoe--nearest location for evening meals. Our hosts were most accommodating and arranged tickets and boxed lunch for the Cass trip up the mountain.

Stay at Chestnut Ridge

Helga and I enjoyed our brief stay at Chestnut Ridge. The room was comfortable and the food was great. If we are ever in that area of WV again we will definitely consider another stay. Would recommend it to anyone considering a visit to the Cass/Dunmore area of WV.

Wecoming, accomadating hosts!

We stayed at the property in late August. We loved the location and the quiet beauty of the area. It is located in an open area, so there isn't any traffic and there are lots of areas to relax in. 3 days into our vacation, I broke my leg after slipping at one of the many natural areas nearby, and Larry and Paula were wonderful in helping me feel confident and comfortable. With their help, we were able to finish part of our planned vacation, and hope to go back to finish what we started. Meals were cooked with care and were delicious.

Cass Mountain Train Adventure

Mary and I throughly enjoyed our stay at Chestnut Ridge County Inn. Larry and Paula are natural innkeepers and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. When I made the reservation with Larry on the phone two months before our arrival, I could tell in his voice that he loved what he was doing operating a B&B. Our evening conversation with them gave us insight on how dedicated they were to providing the very best accomodations to all of their guests. Larry and Paula's valuable information, insight and advice on the local activities made the trip especially memorable. We look forward to returning next year for perhaps another train trip.
