Circa 1764. Gracing one acre with a view of a pond and the Pemigewasset River, Colonel Spencer Inn is located between Plymouth and Campton in the White Mountains and Lakes Regions of New Hampshire. Open year-round, this historic pre-Revolutionary War Colonial is restored and furnished with antiques and period pieces. Sit by the fire in the living room and peruse the book and video library. Refreshments and snacks are provided. Stay in one of the second-floor guest rooms named after previous residents. Linger over hearty homemade country breakfasts offering classic entrees and side dishes, custom roasted coffee and local maple syrup. Ask about B&B specials available. Wonderful N.E. charm!

I stayed here a few years ago and it was wonderful. The proprietors made me feel at home. The house is authentic and charming and full of history. I remember lying in bed and watching the snow fall through the lace curtains. Can't wait to return!
