However, I assure you, the difficult trek is well worth it because of what you will see and what you can do in Comptche. Surrounded by the wonderfully beautiful Montgomery Woods State Reserve, the most remote in all of California's thirty one redwood natural parks, Comptche has an amazing three mile hiking trail and offers an ideal place for shady picnics underneath these giant trees.
