Circa 1856. The Amana Colonies is a German settlement listed in the National Register. This two-story clapboard inn houses a collection of hand-crafted Amana furnishings of walnut and cherry. Country-style quilts and curtains add personality to each guest room. Nearby, you'll find museums, wineries and a woolen mill that imports wool from around the world.
