Description

Circa 1799. A picket fence surrounds this recently renovated Italianate and Colonial inn. It was the home of Dr. Pitney, considered the Father of Atlantic City. Some of the inn's rooms feature Colonial decor, while others are in a Victorian motif. There are clawfoot tubs, whirlpools, ceiling fans and fireplaces. Breakfast is offered gourmet-style and features an entree, freshly baked breads and cakes. Nearby is Atlantic City, Smithville, a winery, beaches, boardwalk, the convention center and a bird sanctuary.
