Description
Circa 1880. Seven historic houses, painted in island pastel shades, surround a lush tropical garden and a pool. Located on an estate in the heart of the historic Old Town, guests relish the cozy spaces to relax such as the hammock for two, gazebo, sun decks and private balconies. The inn's white picket fences and plentiful porches are bordered by tropical trees, flowers and vines. A continental-plus breakfast is served from the pool house. Rooms have wicker and antique furniture, Victorian armoires and Bahamian fans.

Historic Interest | Duval House was originally a cigar manufacturing estate. The factory building was surrounded by the workers' homes, all of which have been converted into guest rooms. Originally, there were two buildings located in the rear central part of the property. In the late 1890's, however, when the Key West fire destroyed the front Duval Street buildings, these two central buildings were relocated to their current Duval Street frontage location. This move gave the inn its large central interior area which is now a beautiful, picturesque and sunny courtyard, adjacent to our lush tropical gardens. Here you'll find a relaxing and restorative oasis; a respite from a full day of Key West activities.
