A Fabulous Find!

My husband and I visited the East Bay Bed and Breakfast on Narragansett Bay for two nights. We stayed in the lovely Narragansett Room, which has a partial view of the harbor. All four guest rooms are beautifully decorated, as well as the entire B&B. In our room, we were provided with wine glasses, a very nice bottle opener, bottled water, tasty treats (homemade coconut puffs one day and slices of lemon/poppy cake the next), chocolates, and soft bathrobes. The king-sized bed was heavenly! A big, flatscreen TV was mounted on the wall, and an electric fireplace was also provided. Our bathroom had everything that we needed: nice, soft, big bath towels; bright light over the mirror for putting on your make-up/shaving; adequate space for you to put your things, etc. This is something you don’t find in most B&Bs. The place is also very, very clean. I was so impressed by the cleanliness of the place, so much so that I passed my fingers where you'd expect to find some dust, but I didn't find any. Diane and Paul are just wonderful hosts (retired educators/new owners since October 2009). They immediately responded to my e-mail when I inquired about a reservation. They greeted us warmly when we arrived at the B&B. They took the time to show us around and talk with us (even though they had someplace to be). They discussed the restaurants' menus - recommended a nearby restaurant where (on Tuesdays – “crazy Tuesdays”) their entrees are all listed at $16 (we had filet mignon for $16). Breakfast is not a set time by the innkeepers. You can choose when you want to have breakfast (between 8:30 to 10 a.m.). The three-course breakfasts were delicious. Every morning I admired the different placemats, plates, napkin rings, etc. that Diane used to set the table (as I love doing this at home, myself). Beautiful, fresh roses were on a lovely tablerunner on the table, with a lit candle, and soft music playing. The B&B was decorated with Easter bunnies and St. Patrick's Day decorations. Everything was just so beautiful. Most importantly, they share all this with you for a very affordable price. With a host and hostess who made us feel so welcome in their home, and who provided us with outstanding hospitality, we left this place with a wonderful memory, and eager to return (with some of our friends).

Great Stay in Jamestown, RI

The East Bay Bed and Breakfast is a wonderful, cozy home away from home in Jamestown, a picturesque town across the bridge from Newport, RI. The owners could not have been more accommodating and the made-to-order breakfasts were exceptional. Loved the luxurious bed linens! We will never stay in over-priced Newport again after discovering this immaculate b and b!!!

Beautiful, comfortable, super clean

Our family stayed here last May, 09. We stayed in 2 rooms. The rooms were wonderful: so comfortable and clean; each one unique in furnishings. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts special and different every morning - loved those butterscotch scones. The location was great because we were close to Providence, beaches and small towns in the surrounding area. The rooms were not perfectly quiet, - it's not like a large hotel with vault like rooms - however the occassional noise was not disturbing for us. I would highly recommend staying here

Outstanding experience!

We had the opportunity to stay at Eastbay B&B during the Holiday week. The Inn is beautifully decorated. We stayed in the Bayside suite, which is appointed with an antique Victorian bedroom set and a heated bathroom floor. The breakfast was excellent, cheese and mushroom omelettes and fresh fruit. We would recommend this Inn without reservation, and at a fraction of what it would cost to stay in Newport.
