Description
Circa 1776. Gardens and a picket fence surround the three historic buildings that comprise this gracious inn. The Federal-style main house offers many historic details, including wide-pine floors originally a part of the ship of the sea captain who built the home. Freshly baked cookies and an original wood-burning fireplace in the parlor (once the cooking fireplace) add to the inviting experience. Bed chambers are furnished in colonial antiques and reproductions and offer fluffy comforters. The dining room is the spot where the innkeepers serve an expanded continental breakfast buffet. There's a rooftop sun deck for summer tanning, a porch and patio. Enjoy whale watching, restaurants, shops, beaches and the Pilgrim Monument.
