Description
Circa 1857. The Fallon Hotel, restored and operated by the State of California Parks and Recreation Department, still boasts the main-floor theater where productions are featured year-round. Original furnishings from the hotel's Gold-Rush days have been repaired, polished and reupholstered, including a fine Turkish loveseat in the parlor. Bradbury & Bradbury redesigned the nine wallpaper patterns featured. The best rooms are upstairs with balconies overlooking the town's four blocks of saloons, cash stores, an ice cream parlor, blacksmith shop and the stage coach that periodically rambles through town.
