Disappointed

Booked two nights at Fire Mountain Inn. From the web-site the cabins looked inviting. We were particularly excited about the “Treehouses.” Up-close they are more like sheds than the luxury described online. The grounds and buildings appear worn-down. The employees encountered were impolite and unavailable much of the time.

Management Response
"Unfortunately this is a bogus review. The person that claims to have written this review, Don Ratchford, has never been a guest at Fire Mountain nor does any staff member at Fire Mountain know of this person. The Treehouse accommodations at Fire Mountain are in a four story building on top of our mountain and they certainly could not be construed as "sheds", especially at prices of $185 to $265 per night. Our grounds and buildings are in excellent condition. Fire Mountain is known for it's spectacular setting and landscape and for our long range mountaintop views that go out 30 to 50 miles on a clear day. All staff members at Fire Mountain are courteous, experienced and well trained in providing excellent hospitality which is supported by hundreds of guest reviews posted on the top hospitality review sites world wide. Fire Mountain is a secluded and romantic mountaintop hideaway on hundreds of mountaintop acres and is known as the top hospitality property for Inns and Bed and Breakfasts in Highlands, NC which is located in the very high elevations of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. We invite you to be our guest and to experience the wonderful hospitality provided here in our spectacular setting at Fire Mountain so that you may come to know why so many of our guests continue to return over and over as they have during the 16 years since our inception."
