The Bentley House is the only Inn in town and is host to a variety of visitors who come to Poultney on a regular basis. Green Mountain College is located across and therefore is the ideal place for parents to stay while making their initial visit with the children, but return repeating to visit them once they have enrolled. During the summer months the college runs alumni reunions, workshop, seminars and professional training institutes which bring business to the Inn. We also have guests who are visiting the lakes, s, Mountains and tourist attractions which offer a variety of reasons to visit our area and stay in our Inn. Over the years we have seen a increase in repeat business coming from people who have family here, business men, vacationers and local people renting rooms for their friends or business associates.
