Feel like a Queen
I felt like a Queen in the Queen Anne Victorian Gable House in Durango, Colorado. From the time Ms. Heather opened her door, I felt welcome. She escorted us through her elegant home and I felt "at home". I especially enjoyed relaxing on one of her balconies overlooking this historic and quiet neighborhood. The southwestern breakfast was delicious. Heather was very helpful in telling us the history of her house, and all the interesting things in and around Durago we might like to see while we were in Durango. I have stayed at many B&Bs all over the world, and I would sincerely say that this is the best "home away from home" I've ever experienced.

Hidden Jewel
Gable House is literally the hidden jewel of Durango. It is a large home, yet at the same time a small, elegant and very well-run B&B. My wife and I have stayed in many B&B's and this is the best one we have found.

Graciousness and beauty
Our Gable House stay was outstanding from beginning to end. The house itself is a treasure, architecturally and in overall ambiance. Heather, our hostess, is gracious, warm and welcoming. Breakfasts are great! We enjoyed the garden, the balcony and the comfort of being in a welcoming home.

Gable House in July
We loved our stay at Gable House! It is a grand, beautifully-appointed historic home a few blocks from town in a lovely neighborhood. It was in a great location and we could easily walk to everything in town. Our room was spacious and clean, with a private bath and balcony. Breakfasts were excellent and our hostess was charming and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Heather!

Gable House in Durango, Co.
We recently stayed at the Gable House B&B in Durango, Colorado. Beautiful, awesome, these words are not enough to describe this wonderful place. Heather was a wonderful hostess and our breakfast both mornings was amazing. I love antiques and the house is filled with them. our bed was king size and very comfortable. We could hear the fountain flowing outside our window. There was no night noise, a quiet retreat and just a few blocks away from downtown. We walked downtown for dinner. It is the place for a romantic get away!
