Gambier House offers several areas to gather in from the formal fireside parlor to the family room with games to play and movies to watch. Sit in a front porch rocker or in the peaceful weeping cherry courtyard. Guests of this B&B enjoy access to Kenyon Athletic Center. Historic Interest | Built circa 1845 by an immigrant stonemason, The Gambier House was one of the earliest residences in Gambier. Its owner was one of the laborers who built Kenyon College; it was held in the family for over 100 years. Historic sites nearby: Kenyon College, which can boast educating a president (Rutherford B. Hayes) as well as members of Abraham Lincoln's cabinet. Also the home of The Kenyon Review, celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2008. |
