Description

Circa 1871. Thirty-nine acres of rolling meadows, ponds, woodland and gardens surround this Italian Renaissance Victorian mansion. Upon arrival, enjoy afternoon snacks and a beverage in one of the many antique-filled common rooms. An 1869 Steinway square grand piano offers musical interludes. Relax on the front porch or second-floor balcony. Each guest bedroom includes a feather bed and vintage nightshirts. Ask for the Samuel Clemens Room where Mark Twain slept. Savor a country breakfast. A spacious stone cottage is available with a fireplace in the master bedroom and a two-person whirlpool and shower. The loft boasts a surround sound entertainment center; the private deck overlooks the pond. Two new luxury cottages boast large hot tubs. The onsite fine dining restaurant serves six-course gourmet meals.

Best B&B

This was surprise birthday present from my husband. the cottages are beautiful and relaxing. Julie cooked some very special meals! We walked the trails through their property and met up with their llamas. Both are expecting this spring! We already went back for a second visit and are planning our next. Cannot recommend this place enough!!!

Outstanding On So Many Levels!

My wife and I made a special trip to Hannibal just to stay at this property. The mansion is incredible. There is so much history and majesty, not to mention how well kept it is. We stayed in one of the cottages called The Dowager House. What a place!! Kitchen, 2 fireplaces, huge master bedroom, loft, deck with a hot tub, whirlpool, incredible walk-in shower, all the first class ammenities you can think of. We had dinner and breakfast brought to us and the food was incredible!! My wife and I had a magically romantic stay and this perfect B&B!!

Lovely time!

Just stayed at the Mansion with my family and we had a great time! Felt like a visiting an aunt and uncle, the innkeepers do a great job of making you feel welcome! Julie's kitchen is always open and she loves having guests cook with her. Beautifully kept historical property.

Fantastic Stay!

My wife and I enjoyed a very nice and relaxing time away from the kids! We had one of the cabins and enjoyed the modern amenities as well as the fantastic breakfast and dinners. We can't wait to go back and I highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice getaway and friendly hospitality.
