Simply Charming Inn!! and You Can Drive On the Beach

The Gearhart Ocean Inn is adorable & the town was lovely. Nice & quiet and just what we needed. The New England Style Cottages are a nice blend of old fashion married with modern conveniences. The rooms cozy, decorated nicely and the bathroom looked as if it were newly remodeled offering a rain head shower and Italian Carrara marble. The Boutique Hotel staff was most welcoming. The Gearhart Ocean Inn is perfect for two on a romantic get-a-way or the whole family. We definitely took advantage of the opportunities both the Gearhart Ocean Inn has to offer as well as the town. Whether you enjoy walking the beach, playing golf or tennis, shopping, dining, running, sun bathing, kite flying, clamming, collecting shells, napping it is all readily available. At the Inn there is even a large private back yard surrounded with native plants; roomy enough for your kids or dogs to play and is complete with Adirondack chairs, croquet & badminton, picnic tables, gas BBQ, and fire pit. They even offer a s’more toasting kit! A few our favorites included the following. Borrowing the Beach Cruisers from the Inn and pedaling all around town looking at the quintessential beach cottages throughout Gearhart. Taking a drive directly on the beach for 20 miles North. Savoring the delicious meals, yes I said meals, at the Pacific Way Bakery & Cafe. (The food was so good we had to try it out for Breakfast Lunch & Dinner!!!) Enjoying complimentary DVD’s & board games in the evening from the Inn's Office. We adored our stay and can't wait for another chance to go back to “One of America’s Best Little Beach Towns” and specifically to the Gearhart Ocean Inn!
