Description

Circa 1911. This opulent world-class inn is a replica of the Renaissance-era Lancellotti Villa in Frascati, Italy. It is listed in the National Register. Although originally built as a residence, it became a monastery for Capuchin monks. Now it is one of the finest resorts in the U.S. Renovated under the direction of award-winning designer William Schickel, there are 10 two-bedroom suites, some with views of the lake. Here, you may have an experience as fine as Europe can offer, without leaving the country. Some compare it to the Grand Hotel du Cap-Ferrat on the French Riviera. The inn has been awarded four diamonds from AAA for more than two decades. Breakfast is available daily and on Sunday, brunch is served. Dinner is served each evening, and in the summer lunch is offered on the terrace.
