The Hidden Gem of New Mexico

I had to travel for work in Albuquerque, and decided to take the opportunity to take a long weekend "off the beaten track". I could not have picked a better place than Casa Escondida. The rooms are wonderful, the food is good, and if you're nice Griffin the cat will keep you company by the fireplace at night. The location was perfect for me. A short 30 min drive from Santa Fe, I felt like going back to "my mansion in the mountains" after a busy day visiting museums and art galleries. Although very small, Chimayo is close to many good restaurants, and a very short drive to many great trails for hiking. I highly recommend!

Charm & Tranquility

Casa Escondida is a charming B&B with very friendly staff and excellent food! The setting is rustic, and very peaceful, and it is nestled right in the middle of everything that is beautiful about Northern New Mexico. This is a great place to escape the day to day if you live in Albuquerque or Santa Fe, close to home yet far away. Also a great place to stay if it is your first, or 21st visit to NM from out of State! We cannot wait to go back.
