Description

Circa 1745. A National Registry landmark, Mount Hope Farm dates back to the 1680s and has more than 200 acres of fields, meadows, pastures, woodlands, ponds, streams and a medley of historic buildings. The Governor Bradford House was built in 1745 by Isaac Royal, a wealthy Massachusetts merchant. The two and one-half storied gambrel roof Colonial mansion was the style of its day. Read about our country's beginnings in the Washington Room. The experience of staying at this farm setting with a rich heritage can be a rewarding educational adventure. Furnished with antiques and reproductions, some guest bedrooms include fireplaces. Savor a satisfying breakfast and afternoon tea. There is an array of cows, pheasant and chickens. Walk to the Adirondack-style Cove Cabin adjacent to the boat dock. Catering can be provided for events in the renovated barn. Bikes are available to explore the scenic area.
