Situated on the western shore of Chedabucto Bay right in front of the Guysborough Harbour is the Canadian community called Guysborough. Guysborough is increasingly becoming a favorite destination of vacationers and weekend travelers because of it many attractions. One of its major lures is the aged Guysborough Court House Museum which is now listed on the Canadian Register of Historic Places as a Municipal Heritage Property. Located on the very beautiful waterfront of Guysborough are the 1920's-built structures The Skipping Stone Souvenir Store and The Rare Pub which were all carved from the older Jost Buildings. Situated at the head of Chedabucto Bay, the largest bay on the Nova Scotia Atlantic Coast, Guysborough is a charming seacoast village with a rich history that dates back to the early 1600s. The scenic waterfront marina hosts weekly community Ceilidh parties during the summer as well as a Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings. The deck of the historic Rare Bird Pub & Eatery above the Marina is a good vantage point for the Ceilidh parties. Skipping Stone Crafts & Gallery beside the Rare Bird is a good spot for local crafts.
