Hostess appreciation

Thoughtfulness abounds here! Graciousness and friendliness are seen in all (Susan's) actions. Thank you so much for being my hostess par excellence! I shall be back.

gifts

Susan Livingston has the gifts of natural friendship - openness, concern for your comfort, interest in your interests, and respect for your privacy. Her home is generously open to your needs and softly welcoming, its doors always open for her guests. Mornings are blessed with coffee, fruit, cereal and muffins. Afternoons, between trips to downtown Marblehead and expeditions to Boston, a relaxing lull in the summer heat. She guided us to restaurants and local sites, and pointed us to places we had never expected to enjoy so much - such as Salem's Peabody-Essex Museum. The beds were comfortable, the house impeccable and beautifully maintained. We loved our stay.

Charming

I had stayed at The Harborside House B&B in May. Our hostess Susan was most hospitable and the accomodations exceeded my expectations. Breakfast was served in the bright warm dining room with fresh fruit and some fresh baked goods. This charming B&B is located in the heart of Marblehead within walking distance of everything. Wonderful, charming, and so very lovely. Thank you Susan. Sincerely, Colleen

Harborside Inn is restful, charming, with a beautiful view of the water. I wish we didn't have to leave.

Professionalism Par Excellence

I had to be in the North Shore area of Massachusetts for a church conference, so I thought that I would take a few extra days and visit Marblehead/Salem /Essex and other areas of my ancestry. Susan Livingston made my stay absolutely enjoyable. Her beautiful B & B had the right combination of professional amenities plus warm hospitality. The view of the bay from her house was gorgeous and the historic center of town was within walking distance. My time in Marblehead was delightful by her warm manner. I'll be back again.

Enjoyable

"We enjoyed our stay at the Harborside House and would recommend your Bed and Breakfast to all travelers from Europe wishing to begin or end their New England trip from the Boston Logan-Airport. A stay of two nights seemed to be sufficient to discover the Marblehead area and drive up to Salem and Rockport. We felt welcome in your house and appreciate the sight-seeing information you shared with us."

Harborside House is a treat !

We found this wonderful place through the internet. And lucky we were! Marblehead is such a beautiful spot. Ideally situated not too far away from Boston - so you can visit the "hub" in almost no time - but also far enough away from it to find peace and relaxation from the busy life of the city. The historical district with its picturesque colonial houses, Crocker Park with its breathtaking view over the harbor, the "downtown" area with restaurants and shops are all within walking distance of Harborside House. Susan Livingston, who owns and runs the place is an extraordinary hostess. Her kind hospitality made us feel at home immediately. And we will miss her great breakfasts. We will definetely call again!

Excellent

Susan has tried to think of every possible need. The only drawback was that the bath was down the hall and shared. She make you feel like you were a guest in her home, not in a rented room.
