Description
Circa 1883. Explore the 320-acre working ranch where deer, wild turkey, antelope, quail and a bounty of wildflowers and bluebonnets are common sights. Henry Hasse and his wife lived in a log cabin before building the sandstone home 23 years later. Three generations of Hasses have lived here, and today it is owned by a great-granddaughter who restored the home. Located in a small German village six miles east of Mason, the two-bedroom, two-bath National Register home is available to only one group or guest at a time, host free. It is filled with period furniture and accessories, yet offers the modern convenience of a washer and dryer and a fully stocked kitchen. The ranch grounds include a two-mile hiking path.
