Cozy

She took wonderful care of me on a last minute, well needed trip last year. The breakfast was incredible, the room was warm , cozy, and a bottle of wine was waiting for me. I felt very well taken care of.

Prepare for Sudden Cancellations

I am not one to write bad reviews; My girlfriend and I booked this B&B in advance to our trip to Ca. We were excited to stay there, it had excellent reviews. As we were driving up the coast of California on the day we were scheduled to check in at this B&B, a few hours away from Cambria, we received a phone call from the owner. The owner attempted to convince my girlfriend not to come to Cambria because it was a very far drive. When my girlfriend informed her that we were coming anyway, as it was a part of our trip up the coast, the owner informed her that there was a family in our room that wanted to stay another night and that she didn't feel like making up the room. (so I guess there is no daily maid service??). When my girlfriend protested because we needed a place to stay, the owner then told my girlfriend that the room had a leak and that her husband didn't feel like fixing it. She refunding the money we paid in advance through paypal and gave us a few numbers to inns nearby that were all sold out. It is a shame we did not have the same experience others seem to have at Her Castle. If you decide to stay here, you may need a Plan B. This owner added additional stress to our vacation that was not necessary. If you are planning to drive up the coast and use this as a place to stay, or need a plan B, you may want to consider the BEST WESTERN PLUS Cavalier Oceanfront Resort in San Simeon close by. It has awesome views and fire pits at night. And if you get the opportunity to stay at her majesty's castle, make sure you let us know what we missed.
