Description
Circa 1750. The oldest part of this farmhouse was constructed of mud bricks and straw on land that once belonged to Charles Carroll, father of a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Inside, there is an attractive stone fireplace for cooking. The farmhouse rooms include whirlpool baths. There are several country cottages in addition to the rooms in the farmhouse, and each includes a fireplace. Fine, country dining is offered in the restored barn on the weekends. The host family members have been innkeepers for more than 25 years.
