Home Away from Home

We’ve been going here for over 10 years sometimes twice a year- summer and Thanksgiving. Gillian and Dennis are the quintessential hosts and will make your home away from home hard to leave. Gil’s breakfast’s are spectacular and you’ll never get the same-ol’ same-ol’ in her dining room. Only the freshest ingredients straight from her garden and homemade scones/biscuits/muffins out of her oven. Add to that handsomely appointed rooms and spectacular views in a very special place, ‘HRH’ is our go-to for getting away from it all.

Home away from home

This is the second time we have stayed at Hickory Ridge and will come back again. The innkeepers are friendly and welcoming, the rooms comfortable and spacious and the breakfasts are so good we were not hungry until well after lunch time. Guests comfort is first and foremost and this is most welcomed when you need some pampering!

This College Area B&B is PERFECT!

I've had the pleasure of staying at the HIckory Ridge House B&B four times now—and every time is a total delight! I'm always amazed by the beauty of the house and its charming decor. Mind you, I've been in a different room each time, and every one of them is beautiful, comfortable and clean. As for the hosts, Gillian and Dennis, they could not be more welcoming or more endearing! (The same can be said for their two dogs.) Biggest surprise of all is the gourmet made-from-scratch breakfast that greets you every morning, starting with a new twist on fresh fruits, amazing muffins or scones or biscuits, sometimes homemade butters, and egg dishes to die for! I'm not really a country person, but I travel to Vermont regularly to visit my son at nearby Landmark College; each time, a stay at Hickory Ridge House is a high point of the trip (and Gillian and Dennis kindly invite my son to join me at breakfast). I can tell you that I'd rather spend my days and nights at Hickory Ridge House than at any of the nation's leading resorts! Simply put, Hickory Ridge House is the PERFECT Bed-and-Breakfast Inn—and the chief reason why God invented Vermont!
