My husband and I celebrated our 34th anniversary at the Inn at 202 Dover in May 2010. It was one of the most loveliest weekends we can remember! Our host, Ron and Shelby were fantastic - they were warm and made us feel at home. We had the English Suite and enjoyed it so much, it was hard to leave it, to explore the beautiful, historical Eastern Maryland area. The Suite was tastefully decorated with one of the most luxurious bathrooms we have seen in a Suite. All the small decorative touches, the books, artwork, piped music in the bathroom, comfortable bed, etc. added to the enjoyment of the stay and made it feel like home. The Peacock Restaurant added to our enjoyment. The food was so good, every meal - breakfast and dinner was a treat. The Chef produced mouth-watering meals. As for romance, we would and have highly recommended the Inn to all of our friends and family to create a memory that they will always treasure. The Inn reeks of romance and we look forward to returning for a future stay. Again, we highly recommend the Inn at 202 Dover and it definitely will provide a romantic weekend for guest. Sincerely, Denise and Vernon Williams

My wife and I have stayed at the Inn for over 30 days over the years and, now that we've moved to that area, we have all of our "spill-over" company stay there. Ron and Shelby are the perfect hosts and they have created a wonderfully romantic spot in a beautiful little village. The rooms are lavishly and tastefully furnished, the beds are luxurious and the bathrooms and large well furnished. The steam showers and whirlpool tubs are a wonderful addition to their amenities. Overall the Inn is a wonderful tribute to the Victorian time when the original house was built. The glass-enclosed solarium is a wonderful spot to have breakfast or to just sit and read a book. The gardens, now that they have matured, are lush, filled with color and well maintained. The Inn is in a great location to walk the village and take in the plentiful art galleries and interesting shops. Chef Mark is an inspiration and his farm-to-table preparations are works of art. His food is creative, wonderfully presented and he uses only the best ingredients and it shows! He is a superbly talented chef and has brought the level of local dining up about 5 notches. Let's not forget that Shelby sets a beautiful and romantic table with starched white linens, fresh roses, pearls, candle light and their signature peacock. Overall the Inn exudes romance, charm and graciousness.

Hello, I just wanted to endorse the Inn at @ 202 Dover as the most romantic Inn I've ever stayed in. And my husband and I have traveled the world staying in B&S's and Inns. Ron & Shelby pampered us beyond expectations. The restoration of the Inn is impressive. They didn't hold back on any improvements. It's an amazing experience.

My husband I spent 2 nights at the Inn a couple of years ago not long after it opened for business. The thing that we found most endearing was that each suite of rooms was unique with many luxurious amenities. The Inn was also very soundproof. We never knew there was anyone else staying there until we saw them at breakfast. The gardens that surround the Inn are perfect for quiet reflection. Ron and Shelby were wonderful hosts. They went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable in our room and that we had everything that we needed.

Having visited many hotels and B&Bs across the country as a corporate event planner, the Inn at 202 Dover in Easton, MD is simply "one of the best" experiences. From the quality decor in each of their theme rooms to the gourmet meals, this Inn offers excellence, warmth, comfort and uniqueness. The owners, Ron and Shelby clearly love meeting every guest, and go above and beyond to ensure that everyone is happy. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms have Jacuzzi tubs and are large and spacious. This is a perfect location for a romantic getaway if you are seeking a quaint town with extraordinary accommodations.

What makes the Inn @ Dover so romantic and special are a few key things, that when integrated, makes for a great experience, excellent food, enjoyable environment, but most important are the hosts Ron & Shelby. Whether you are entertaining a spouse for a special occasion or a business transaction Ron & Shelby make you feel "at home", and like royalty. The facility is a remarkable and a key historic restoration and what makes it come alive is Ron & Shelby will share with a guest the intricate details of such a huge undertaking. It is rare to find any facility that scores high on all three points made above but Inn @ 202 Dover scores 100% across the board. When you are the person trying to entertain a guest, or a spouse you do not want to manage anything else, and yet you worry there will be a let down on these key points that can spoil the ocassion. Rob & Shelby & The Inn @ 202 Dover removes this risk since they take serious your needs and concerns. They are full of energy and seem to enjoy being such gracious hosts. So enjoy a romantic weekend or celebration at 202 and you will return many times to this unique facility and fantastic couple Ron & Shelby.

My husband and I stayed at the Inn at 202 Dover for several nights over New Year's Eve this past year and had a glorious time. This inn is very quiet, the rooms are all laid out so they are quite private and the owners provide pampering that is just right.....not too intrusive. The room we stayed in (the Safari Suite) was quite luxurious with a glorious bed, fireplace, steam shower, Jacuzzi etc. The staff noted that we had brought our own wine and champagne to enjoy in our room and without the slightest prompting from us, lovely champagne flutes appeared in our room for our use as well as a wine bucket. We greatly appreciated these thoughtful touches. Not only that, but when my husband discovered that he had forgotten his studs and cufflinks for his tuxedo only an hour or so before New Year's Eve dinner, the owner quickly retrieved a set of his own and loaned them to my husband to save the day. This inn is a great, romantic, getaway with just the right blend of seclusion (if you are looking to hibernate away from the world) and access to a quaint town with great restaurants, shops and museums (if you're in the mood for some activity). We have recommended the Inn at 202 Dover several times to friends and will continue to do so. And would certainly support it being named to the top ten romantic inns in America.

The Inn at 202 Dover is the most marvelous weekend getaway we've ever taken in the Washington DC area. The Inn itself is lovely, as are the gardens. The food is amazing, and Ron and Shelby are gracious hosts, attentive and efficient but never overbearing. They greeted us warmly after our 2-hour drive, offered us a cocktail, and made us feel right at home. We enjoyed staying in Easton and exploring the surrounding towns and countryside, and we left feeling rejuvenated and happier than ever to be married to each other! If that's not romantic, what is?
