Unforgettably Romantic <3

Our trip was planned last minute, when we happened to stumble upon this wonderful little Inn online. Communication with Ann and Terry was amazingly fast, which we appreciated greatly. The Inn was very easy to find off the freeway and just a block away from the beautiful beach. Our Penthouse room was comfortable, cozy, and extremely romantic. We had a wonderful balcony view with a jacuzzi and a very clean and nicely kept room. Breakfast was brought up fresh each morning, waiting for us just outside the door, for our two night stay and the freshly baked bread and muffins are to die for. We frequently talk about what a nice quiet stay we had, we'd really like to visit again soon!

Heaven!

We returned to the Inn at Moonlight Beach and if possible it was even better the second time! For anyone who needs a vacation during which they can reduce their stress and seriously relax, this is the place. We stayed in the Penthouse and it was absolutely amazing. The food is incomparable. We woke each morning to sunshine, ocean air, fresh fruit, delicious house baked items, yogurt, granola, milk, juice, and fresh Starbucks coffee in addition to many other delightful breakfast treats. Ann and the staff at the Inn bend over backwards to make sure you have an excellent experience. We are from Indianapolis and Ann went so far as to help us find the perfect home in Encinitas. We have stayed in B&Bs in LA Jolla and San Diego. But once we found The Inn at Moonlight Beach, we never went anywhere else!

Romantic Noises

We were looking forward to visiting The Inn, as we had stayed at three other Encinitas hotels and not been satisfied due to noise, cleanliness, and general quality of accommodations. Sadly we won't be returning to The Inn at Moonlight Beach. Why? We had the Penthouse Suite above us which included the hot tub noise which then led to the bump and grind, then into the moaning glory. Terry! Tell your prospective guests that Beach has lurking ghosts from above.

Management Response
My goodness. We're surprised that our guest never mentioned their unhappiness when we served them their home-made breakfast - we certainly would have made it right! We sincerely regret that they had a less than perfect stay because we work very hard to present a clear and accurate picture of our Inn on our website. 99% of our guests LOVE the experience and give us 5 stars as you can read by the 100+ reviews from four different travel sites on our website. Not so good!!!

Me and my boyfriend stayed in the Penthouse and was not really amazed of the place. The Hot Tub which is supposed to be the only good thing about this room is not working right. It doesn't get hot like it supposed to be. We both not happy about it!!! Other than that everything is just Okay...It's not really a romantic place to be like other reviews say.

Management Response
Ann and Terry do everything they can to provide a world-class experience for our guests, as indicated by other reviews on iLoveInns. Hot tub instructions are posted in multiple locations on the website and in the room, plus signs in the room and at the tub clearly state “please do not touch the controls except to turn the jets on and off.” This guest called us at 9:30 p.m. and again at midnight reporting that the hot tub was not heating. Both times Terry responded immediately, both times he found the controls had been tampered with, and reset the controls. No other guest has ever reported a problem with our state-of-the-art hot tub. Many guests post reviews about how romantic our little inn is and we do our very best to make our guests feel at home in our little inn near the sea. ~ Ann and Terry

Simply wonderful experience

My wife and I spent five nights, and enjoyed every minute. Ann and Terry are wonderful hosts, and made us feel at home from the minute we arrived. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and met our needs without problem. Ann's breakfasts are a wonderful way to start the day. Should we ever return to southern California, there is no doubt that we would stay here again.

Great Romantic getaway

My wife and I loved our romantic getaway at the Inn at Moonlight Beach. Everything was perfect from the hospitality to the King size bed to the romantic hot tub on the balcony. We stayed in the penthouse so the superb breakfast was delivered to us and we enjoyed it on our private balcony. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful Anniversary Getaway

The suite was nicely furnished, the inn staff was warm and helpful, the breakfast was divine (homemade bread, coddled eggs and fresh fruit, beautifully presented) and all within walking distance of great restaurants and window shopping. Hope to return for our next anniversary!

Romantic & Relaxing!

My husband & I were "reconnecting" after being apart for 10 long months & this was the perfect place. Enough privacy but lovely, helpful people when we needed them. Great breakfasts & terrific location aside from the train which I did not learn to love but perhaps I just need to spend some more time there!

Delightful

We were looking for a little get-away from winter and read about this Inn and decided to give it a go instead of the larger resort hotels. We found the rooms clean and comfortable, the service friendly and charming, and an overall good value. Ann recommended wonderful restaurants which we walked to each evening after delightful sunset walks on Moonlight Beach.

InnSide Tip - Walks on the beach
We timed our dinners after sunset so we could be on the beach at sunset. They were wonderful. Our favorite restaurant was "Third Corner" recommended by Ann.

Darling Inn at the Beach

We stayed at this lovely little Inn for a weekend on a getaway. The owners were friendly (but not overbearing), our "Moonglow" room just perfect and we could hear the surf crashing at the beach at night. We had a great time and have already booked a stay in July.

Excellent B&B experience

Though the weather was unseasonably cold and foggy when we stayed, we had a great time at the Inn at Moonlight Beach. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was to die for! Very close proximity to the beach and our favorite restaurant....we will definitely visit there again!

Wonderful Spring Break Holiday!

We just spent 5 days at this Inn and absolutely loved it! Ann & Terry are superb hosts and spoiled us with the delicious breakfasts, fresh flowers in our room, cozy outdoor sitting areas for a glass of wine and advice on spots to visit, restaurants & modes of transportation (loved the Coaster!). Our bed was wonderfully inviting after a day of hiking and sightseeing. Encinitas is a lovely town with spectacular ocean views. We'd highly recommend it and will tell our friends about it.

The beauty Is in the details

Clean, quiet and truly one of a kind. I felt like I was staying in a friends quaint little guest cottage. Wherever you look there are special touches, from the unique furnishings to the candles that are mysteriously glowing in the evenings...I believe it's the 'Moonlight Faeries' who light them at dusk. As an artist myself, I really enjoyed the creativity that is all around. I couldn't put my camera down and I was so very inspired. The Inn at Moonlight Beach is tangible proof of the innkeepers love for this very special place. Do not pass up a chance to stay here!

InnSide Tip - Moonlight Beach
Don't miss a walk to Moonlight Beach and hop on the train heading north or south...doesn't matter, it's beautiful in either direction.
