Description

The Inn at the Oaks is a charming 13-room Queen Ann Victorian located in Cape Cod's historic Eastham, MA. The Inn offers spacious and light-filled accommodations, a healthy deluxe continental breakfast buffet, thoughtful amenities, and unfaltering attention to detail that will ensure your Cape Cod vacation experience will be cherished for years to come. Built in 1893 as a sea captain's home, the Inn has been serving guests since the 1920s when naturalist writer Henry Beston periodically stayed at the Inn while writing his classic book The Outermost House. The Inn is across from the National Seashore Visitor Center and is close to world-famous beaches, and the Cape Cod Rail Trail. It's an easy drive to historic towns like Chatham, Orleans, Wellfleet, and Provincetown, where you will find a diverse mix of shops, restaurants, theaters, galleries, and so much more. There are 10 rooms in the main Inn and 3 suites in the Carriage House next to the Inn. Surrounded by native gardens and mature trees, the spacious grounds offer numerous outside seating areas, including a fire pit and outdoor patio. Many guests consider the Inn their home on Cape Cod and come back year after year. Visit the Inn at the Oaks and enjoy the wonders of what many call the Cape "the way it used to be."

November 2011

A great experience to be away and live a few moments away from bustling city life; the decor, surroundings and relationship to nature this inn provided in the time we were here was valuable. As I return to my get-up-and-go schedule I will pause and think of this place. My warmest intention that it continues to thrive.

Thank you for your warm hospitality, good information and comfortable lodging. We had a terrific time and LOVED biking around this area, seeing the wild seashore all the way to Marconi Station and watching both a sunset on the bay (Samoset Road and First Encounter Beach!) and sunrise at Coast Guard Beach !

Visiting friends in Eastham. Deep fall weather on chilly side w/ a bit of snow to come later today. This is a return trip and we love the loveliness of the place and the relaxed atmosphere.
