Description

Circa 1774. Experience New England hospitality at this elegantly restored 1774 Colonial home surrounded by 105 acres of certified organic farmland and bordered by a 500-acre orchard in a picturesque town. Use one of the field guides in the library to identify the many species of the diverse habitats on the farm. Relax by the fire or chat in the plant-filled sunroom. The terraced gardens are seen from the comfortable living room. Award-winning handmade Burdick chocolates and fresh flowers are placed bedside in the large guest bedrooms and Garden Suite with antique furnishings. A multi-course breakfast features recipes using fresh eggs and produce grown onsite. Each cottage includes a private entrance, fully equipped kitchen with stocked refrigerator, two-person shower and mini-library. Each morning a basket of baked goods is delivered to the doorstep. What's not to like!!

We've stayed here many times over the past years, and it keeps getting better everytime. Great views. Quiet countryside. Enough to keep you occupied or not-occupied as you like, along with warm hospitality, 3-course home-cooked and healthy (fresh, organic, local) breakfasts and an awesome farm environment to explore (chickens, goats, cows, pastures, trails, etc.)-with permission. Inn is on side-country road within close driving to Walpole, Bellows Falls, VT, and Keene, NH, each with their own unique attributes and charms. By the way, there's 3 rooms in the Inn, *plus* 3 other cottage property options if you have a family get together or want more space.
