“Lovely Getaway, Lovely People”

We had a lovely stay. The property is right behind Longwood Gardens. The price included tickets to the Longwood Gardens Christmas display--no need for timed tickets, bonus! The innkeepers Sandy and Lance were delightful, as were their son and daughter, who were very helpful with recommendations and directions. We had great conversation with them, and felt so welcome. They have their own restaurant, so the breakfast was awesome! Sandy upgraded our room to the Paddock Room at no extra charge since it was available. It was immaculate, spacious, and warm. The common room had great snacks and a nice tea selection (my favorite). Very cozy with a fireplace and comfy chairs, open when I wanted a midnight snack. They did an amazing job restoring the property. I highly recommend staying here. We will definitely be back.

“Romantic and relaxing”

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a short vacation. We were looking for quiet, relaxing atmosphere and we found it here. We stayed in the Pond House and loved it! The room was nicely decorated and clean. We had a problem with the TV and it was resolved quickly. The Inn's grounds are beautiful and spacious. The pool was a pleasant surprise and we enjoyed our afternoon swims. Lance is a great cook so breakfast was delicious. It is centrally located so we were able to wander the area without having to travel a lot. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend this Inn.

“Beautiful and Peaceful Inn”

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely inn and were treated with wonderful hospitality by the owners and their family. The surroundings are gorgeous and very serene. The rooms are newly decorated with beautiful taste and are immaculate. Each morning we were treated to Lance's creative and delicious home made breakfast muffins and other imaginative dishes. It is very near the beautiful Longwood Gardens and other Brandywine Valley places of interest. Highly recommended!
