Wonderful Birthday!

Had a wonderful stay at the Inn at Watson's Choice! The breakfast's were unique and fantastic, the hosts were very accommodating and the special touches were great. We truly enjoyed the hospitality and setting. Very quiet, secluded, and private. Loved the accommodations. Thank you so much for making it such a memorable weekend!

Annual Fall Trip

Fall of 2010 Our group of ten annual travellers were very happy to have selected Watson's Choice for our accommodation while visiting Falling Waters. The innkeepers were friendly and very helpful. We could not have asked for better nourishment at breakfast. Highly recommended for a future stay.

We didn't feel welcome

We thought that the hospitality at a bed and breakfast, particularly at a pricey one, was supposed to make you feel like family. We did feel like family, but family of the wrong sort: poor cousins mooching an uninvited stay, or surly jobless teenagers coming back from college. Our host Bill was perfectly pleasant, but our hostess Nancy welcomed us with a stern lecture on the rules. No smoking, no bubblebath, no opening the windows (it turned out the AC was broken too) turn off the lights when you leave, doors locked at midnight, and absolutely no smoking (even though we already said we didn't smoke the first time). We asked if there were times she would like us to be out of the room for housekeeping, and she told us to read the rulebook she left. We asked if she could recommend some things to do in the area and she told us to look at their website. We asked about the county fair we had seen advertised and she scoffed at our interest and told us it was already over, even though it still had two days to go. We found pamphlets for a local winery with an out of date calendar of events and asked if she had any that were up to date. She suggested that we call the winery. We apologized after arriving 15 minutes late for breakfast and it was not entirely clear whether she was joking when she suggested that we make up for it by helping to clean the dishes. After asking the host's permission we fed some apples to the cows at the neighboring farm, and when she found out she scolded us because she heard of a cow that died after eating a bushel of apples. We thought that our age (25) might have had something to do with it, but another pair of retirement age guests described her as "intense" and one guest was annoyed that she would not permit him to smoke a cigar even at the furthest end of the garden. The facility was very nice, especially the garden, but our hostess's behavior sucked all the romance out of our anniversary weekend. We headed out for our daily adventures tense and fuming and snuck back in anxiously hoping not to be seen. We half expected to hear her knock at the door at night to check that us kids weren't getting up to anything inappropriate in the bridal suite, and the mood was spoiled so effectively that we didn't. I can imagine a stay at the Inne at Watson's Choice being very pleasant, but ours wasn't.

A great visit

We will be recommending Watson's Choice to all of our friends and neighbors. The price was very reasonable considering the huge elaborate, delicious breakfast each morning. The owners gave us lots of tips, maps and reviews to help us plan our visit and dinners out each evening. I loved all the antiques and the grounds were beautiful.

Bad attitude

My daughter and I stayed at Watsons Choice and did not feel welcome. Nancy is not a friendly person and made us feel unwelcome. I have stayed in bed and breakfasts all over the country and have never met a caretaker that was not friendly. The other thing that made us feel uncomfortable is not being able to open the window is our room. The room felt stuffy to us and we were not able to enjoy the fresh air.

Excellent choice!

We chose the Inne at Watson's Choice since there never seems to be any hotels for us to stay while visiting relatives! What a fabulous choice! Our room was especially quaint and comfy, the old part of the house was very intriguing, but the best part was the exquisite dishes we were treated to for breakfast each day! The pancakes were heavenly and the egg croissant was spectacular. The best part of breakfast was the homemade sausage! The homey touches by the Ross's in our room were more welcome than a cold sterile hotel room, for a similar cost! We truly will return the next time we go to Uniontown!

50th anniversary trip

My husband and I stayed at the Inne at Watson's Choice just about a week ago and the Inne and the owners were terrific. I can't say enough good our experience. The location is beautiful, the Inne was so warm and inviting, and the food.....OMG fabulous. If you leave hungry it's your fault. Bill and Nancy thank you for the fond memories we will cherish forever!

A must see bed & breakfast inne.

We found this on the internet and were not disappointed. Our room was very clean and comfortable. And, how about the gourmet breakfast! There are a lot of sites to visit in the Uniontown area. We were there for a high school reunion.

Warm and Inviting

My husband and I recently spent a long weekend at the Inne at Watson's Choice. The Inne is charming, well-decorated, imaculate, and inviting. The innkeepers are attuned to the needs of their guests. They made us feel as if we were welcome guests. Nancy is quite the chef. When the aroma of homemade cherry cake, locally made sausage, and maple syrup from the region wafted up the stairs to our room, we knew breakfast would be special. Nancy's homemade breakfast pastries, muffins, and well-prepared breakfast entrees were generous in portion and exquisitely prepared. We had local sausage, local maple syrup, Portuguese Tomatoes, fluffy pancakes and a strata that we'll remember for a long time. The peaceful setting and comfortable beds ensured a restful night. Will we return? Yes! Watson's Choice is the first bed and breakfast that provided a decanter of wine and glasses for the guests to enjoy as they sat in front of the fire. A great home base for exploring the beautiful mountains, visiting historic sites, or just relaxing.

One of the best--consistently!

Pull into the driveway, walk into the Ross'restored homestead, and prepare to unwind for a day or two. We've visited Nancy & Bill's place for ten years - even slept in 8 different rooms - our experience has kept us returning, summers on the wrap-around porch, spring in the enclosed porch, winters in the cozy original house--a glass of wine and Nancy's superb dishes. They love what they do and it shows. Can't wait to return again...

Great, Relaxing B&B

We have stayed at this Bed and Breakfast many times and will return. We have enjoyed our stay again just this past weekend. It was pleasant and relaxing. Each of the rooms we stayed in are very comfortable rooms. The peaceful surroundings, the fireplaces, the cozy feeling, reading room, and the wonderful breakfasts have drawn us back again and again. Excellent place to stay. Only a 25 minute drive to Nemacolin Woodlands. We are already planning our next visit.

Perfect

Prior to visiting nearby Fallingwater we stayed over on a Saturday night in the warm & comfortable Peacock room and then enjoyed a great breakfast on Sunday morning graciously hosted by Innkeepers Bill & Nancy. It all was.....perfect.

A Most Delightful Experience

This beautiful Inn is set in rolling country side, and we enjoyed it immensely. The room was decorated very tastefully and breakfast was a gourmet treat.

Peace and Tranquility

We have been staying at the Inne for well over 10 years, and continue to enjoy our weekend getaways at the Inne more than our week-long vacations at the beach. And, regardless of the familiarity we now have with the Inne and the Innkeepers, we are treated each and every time as though it was our first time. There is no more beautiful setting, and nowhere can you find the peace that comes with walking the property or sitting on the front porch, or relaxing in any of the romantic rooms at the Inne. I only wish we could spend every weekend there.

Delightful and romantic

We just returned from a brief stay at the Inne at Watson's Choice. Picturesque, charming, and serene. It is a fascinating compilation of old and new buildings decorated with taste and charm, and providing a wistful look into the past. The grounds are extensive and meticuloulously kept. My favorite feature was the view of rolling hayfields. Innkeepers are gracious and breakfast was incredible. Don't miss this if you go to see Fallingwater.

Ancestors

I was in Uniontown, PA to research family McClelland roots. Inne at Watson's Choice was recommended when I realized I needed to spend another day! How absolutely fortunate that the Pineapple Room was available! The landscaping is awesome; the accomodations great. Blueberry pancakes with sausage and all the trimmings sustained me for the next day!

Very comfortable!

We needed a place to stay while visiting family in the area and found this Inne on the internet. It was closer to our family home than the hotels in Uniontown and the price was relatively similar, so we chose to stay here. We are so glad we did!! Our "Flower Garden Room" was very comfortable (we wanted a king size bed). It was everything anyone would want or expect. The sitting area outside our room was inviting; comfy chairs and goodies helped us relax before retiring at night. And breakfast couldn't have been anymore yummier!! Our three mornings we were treated to hot, creative and scrumptious food! We appreciate the innkeepers kindness!

Lovely stay

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights April 25-29 and really enjoyed the hospitality provided by Bill and Nancy. We were in the Pineapple room which was just perfect for us. The room was cozy and the bed was very comfortable. We also enjoyed being able to sit in other rooms in the house. The breakfast each morning was to die for. Something different the 4 mornings we were there. I would highly recommend staying here.

Avoid this place at all costs

This was the WORST hotel/B&B experience I have ever had. Only book this space if you like being emotionally and verbally abused by the inn keeper. Nancy only caters to a “specific group” of people, and treats a majority of her guests with a lack of dignity and respect. She is obtuse, disorganized, and even made a racially insensitive comment while we were staying there. My guest and I felt very unconformable and left the property as soon as we could. We made a complaint to Expedia and got a full refund as they couldn’t believe how badly we were treated. Even if this place was the Ritz (which is not – uncomfortable beds, poor heating, etc.), I would only give the venue a one-star rating (and that would be generous). Yes, the experience was that horrible. Do yourself a favor – do not book a room, event or wedding here. Don’t even stop near here. Don’t support individuals who “run” a business that allows cruelty to others.
