Circa 1926. Originally the United Verde Hospital, this five-story Spanish Mission building made of poured-in-place, reinforced concrete is one of the highest structures in Verde Valley, promising spectacular scenic views. The inn is a A National Historic Landmark Hotel. Restoration has preserved all of the exterior, while most of the interior remains original. Phones in the guest bedrooms and suites are serviced by an antique switchboard. The lobby offers round-the-clock hospitality, and the gift shop also is open 24 hours. A restaurant and lounge provide indoor and outside seating.
