Unfortunate

It was very unfortunate to arrive to a smelly cottage after so much excitement to arrive in Door County. There was hair on the stairs outside in large clumps. We were right next door to a neighbor only inches from our cabin. The bed was so uncomfortable but when walking to the bedroom we were dizzy realizing the floor was heaving. The shower stall was uneven and it felt like we were going to fall through. Two curtains kept water from running to the floor but it didn't help. Water got everywhere. The couch and chair were dirty. The T.V that was suppose to have local channels didn't work. The owner said he would come out and didn't. The rain caused a very large puddle outside the front door leaving us to get our feet wet everytime we wanted to go outside. I paid 89.00 a night and honestly could of had a much better experience at a low end hotel. We left the second night unhappy and they still charged us for the third night. VERY UNHAPPY! To be fair. Two nice things. Lake Michigan is a mile or so away, also nice backyard to have a campfire. Just be ready to share your private vacations with the other cottage right across from us.
