Description
Circa 1873. Two structures comprise this inn, the original Lanning House, with three guest rooms, and The 1920s Annex, offering four additional rooms. A favorite of guests is the East Meets West Room, highlighted by Japanese artifacts from the owner's travels and a spindle trunde bed. The 1920s Annex is often used for meetings, reunions or small weddings. Salem is well-known for its fine genealogical library, located in the Stevens Museum, just across the street. French Lick and Louisville, Ky., are less than an hour away.
